Varnishes have always been considered a mysterious blend of black art and science.  They are generally made up of oil, solvents and thinners, resins, dryers and additives.  By varying these components, and by adding UV inhibitors and other secret ingredients each particular varnish will have different characteristics.  Varnish can have gloss or matte appearance, can be extremely hard and durable and can vary in color.

K-Type Varnish

Crystalseal Floor & Galley

Crystalseal is a moisture curing polyurethane coating designed for use as a general purpose seal for most flooring.  Offers excellent abrasion resistance, color retention and flexibility.  Super fast build as overcoats may be applied every two-hours, with no-sanding in-between coats.  Can be overcoated with Acrythane Clear for UV protection.

Crystalseal combines the toughness and high performance of a two-component varnish with the simplicity of a single pack varnish.  Ideal on floors where the toughness is really appreciated, Crystalseal can also be used on vertical surfaces, where it is used as a rapid sealer (or finish) coat, prior to final varnishing with K-Type Varnishes.  Overcoating can be achieved within a few hours, speeding up the varnishing process.  Crystalseal is not recommended for outside use unless overcoated with another UV containing varnish (like K-Type)
